LICENSE AGREEMENT FOR STAND-ALONE USE OF ELECTRONIC IEEE 802(R) LAN/MAN STANDARDS (2024 EDITION)

IMPORTANT - READ CAREFULLY - THIS AGREEMENT DEFINES YOUR RIGHTS TO USE THESE ENCLOSED ELECTRONIC IEEE LAN/MAN STANDARDS. USING THE electronic files distributed physically or electronically CONTAINING THE IEEE 802 LAN/MAN STANDARDS WORK CONSTITUTES YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF THE TERMS OF THIS AGREEMENT AND ALL RIGHTS THEREIN.

The electronic distribution contains IEEE 802 LAN/MAN Standards owned by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc. ("Licensor") and is distributed through the IEEE 802 LAN/MAN Standards Committee (LMSC) ("Distributor"), and is licensed to you as "Licensee". If you do not agree to the following terms and conditions, delete any and all portions of the Work that you may have installed and all amounts paid by you (if any) for the work will be refunded. Your failure to delete the work within 30 days of delivery to you will be deemed to constitute acceptance.

LICENSE: Licensor grants to you a non-transferable, non-exclusive license to copy into, and use on a single personal computer, the accompanying data file(s) in electronic format, hereinafter referred to as the "Work". Neither the Work nor any accompanying documentation may be copied in whole or in part, except for a backup or archival copy that bears all copyright notices and any other identifying or restrictive legends appearing on the Work as received. Except as expressly permitted herein, you may not copy, distribute, modify or make derivative works based on the Work nor may the Work or any backup copy or archival copy of the Work be placed on an electronic network without prior consent of the Licensor.

The Work is for use on a single personal computer. As many users have more than one machine allocated for their personal use, it is permissible for a single recipient of the electronic files to copy portions onto the hard drive of more than one computer as long as it is for their own PERSONAL USE ONLY.

The Work may not be placed on an "electronic network". However, as many user machines in the IEEE 802 standards community are already on a network of some sort, and many of those machines must reach across their networks to have access to electronic files via a physical drive or a printer; it is permissible to pass the Work over a network as long as it is not for shared use of the electronic files or to enable distribution of the data.

The Work may not be used for "derivative work", beyond PURPOSES OF STANDARDS DEVELOPMENT PERMITTED IN HARDCOPY.

Requests for reproduction, distribution, or use in a multiple-user environment should be directed to the IEEE Standards Department, Business Development, 445 Hoes Lane, P.O. Box 1331, Piscataway, New Jersey 08855-1331, USA.

LIMITED WARRANTY: DISTRIBUTOR SHALL REPLACE ANY DEFECTIVE MEDIA CONTAINING THE WORK IF NOTIFIED WITHIN THIRTY (30) DAYS AFTER DELIVERY. THE FOREGOING WARRANTY IS THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE WARRANTY AND IS GIVEN IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, THE WORK IS BEING LICENSED TO YOU "AS IS," AND LICENSOR AND DISTRIBUTOR DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE WORK WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS OR THAT IT WILL BE COMPLETELY ERROR-FREE. THE ENCLOSED ELECTRONIC DATA FILES ARE BASED ON THE PUBLISHED HARD COPY STANDARDS AND THE COPYRIGHTS IN THOSE STANDARDS ARE OWNED BY THE INSTITUTE OF ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONICS ENGINEERS, INC. IN THE EVENT OF A DISCREPANCY BETWEEN THE PUBLISHED WORK AND THE PORTIONS OF IT CONTAINED IN THE ELECTRONIC DATA FILES, THE PUBLISHED WORK IS THE REFERENCE DOCUMENT.

LIABILITY: In no event shall Licensor or Distributor or their respective employees, agents, suppliers, or contractors be liable for any damages of any kind or character, including without limitation any compensatory, incidental, direct, indirect, special, punitive, or consequential damages, loss of use, loss of data, loss of income or profit, loss of or damage to property, claims of third parties, or other losses of any kind or character or attorneys' fees in connection with a claim relating to this Agreement or the performance of the Work contained therein. In the event that liability is nevertheless imposed on Licensor or Distributor or their respective employees, agents, suppliers or contractors, the liability shall not exceed the fee if any, paid for the Work. In no event shall Licensor have any liability whatsoever with respect to a backup copy of the Work made by you as permitted in this agreement.

TERMINATION: This License shall automatically terminate in the event of a breach of the terms of this Agreement. Upon termination, you will be required to return the Work, the backup copy, and any accompanying documentation to "Licensor".

DISTRIBUTOR GENERAL TERMS: This Agreement is not assignable or transferable. The rights under this Agreement or any License granted hereunder may not be assigned, sublicensed or otherwise transferred by Licensee without the prior written consent of Licensor. This is the entire agreement between the parties relating to the subject matter hereof and may only be modified in writing signed by each party. This agreement supersedes any proposal or prior agreement, oral or written, and any other communications between the parties relating to the subject matter of this Agreement. This Agreement is governed under the laws of the State of New York. Any questions or comments regarding this Agreement or the 802 Standards should be directed to: Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc., 445 Hoes Lane, P.O.
