Subject: Emergency Services Agenda, Call for Presentations Date: Wed, 30 Jun 2010 09:54:27 -0700 From: Geoff Thompson Reply-To: thompson@ieee.org To: ecsg-802-emergencyservices@LISTSERV.IEEE.ORG Dear Colleagues, Our next meeting less than two weeks away. While we will have significant organizational/housekeeping business conduct, now that we have our PAR it is time to advance our core technical work. We can not do so without contributions from our participants. I urge you to (a) come to our meeting and participate and (b) bring a conrtibution/presentation for the meetings. It would be most helpful if you would provide any presentations to me ahead of time so that I can have them posted on our document server in advacne of their presentation. I am planning for us to meet on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday morning. This will allow participants to attend the opening and closing plenaries of any of the larger working groups. We will start at 9:00 AM Tuesday in the "Ford C" room which will be ours for the week. We will be taking attendance both to establish 75% participation for establishing the initial working group membership as well as accumulating ongoing working group attendance. I expect that we will be using the IMAT system as well as having a sign-in sheet. The following is the draft agenda that I intend to present at the opening of the meeting: - Introductions - Attendance - Call for patents (Please be familiar with IEEE patent policy) http://standards.ieee.org/board/pat/pat-slideset.pdf - Agenda review & modification - Review of project history - Requirements definition/refinement - Rough schedule planning, route to a standard - Develop task list - Technical presentations - Start outlining draft - Working Group initialization - Elections - Establish initial WG membership - Initial WG Operating Rules - Signup for task items - Plans for conference calls, checkpoints before September - Plans for September interim - Motions, report items for Friday EC - Any other business - Adjourn I look forward to seeing you at the meeting.
